April 16 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

THE RESPONSIBLE USE OF AI IN TEACHING THE HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
Join us for a faculty-focused workshop on the responsible use of AI in teaching the Humanities and Social Sciences. Through this workshop industry-based experts and scholars will highlight both the benefits and challenges of the current AI tools, covering key areas such as transparency and ethics while taking a human-centered approach to educator’s teaching strategies. By addressing realistic uses and limitations, the session will clarify expectations and identify boundaries. The aim is to provide attendees with practical pedagogical approaches and teaching strategies, along with effective prompting techniques that encourage student collaboration and engagement, learner creativity, and critical thought, all while focusing on the ethical use of AI.
This event is a collaboration with IDRIS and The Spanish and Portuguese (SPS) Department’s Lives In Transition (LIT).
