Welcome to IDRIS

Hello, I'm IDRIS Director Fay Cobb Payton, PhD, MBA and I am thrilled to announce the launch of our new Institute for Data, Research, and Innovation Science (IDRIS), an interdisciplinary hub for applied ethical scholarship and practice in data science and emerging technologies at the intersection of society. Data work is what we do.

IDRIS focuses on data-driven solutions to address difficult problems facing urban communities.

IDRIS is a transformative initiative that positions Rutgers University at the forefront of the data revolution. IDRIS represents the Rutgers University Office of Academic Affairs and Rutgers University – Newark’s commitments to harnessing the power of data to address society’s most pressing challenges and drive innovation across disciplines.
