Cass Guinto

Leadership

Cass Guinto is a senior at Rutgers University–Newark School of Arts & Sciences, where she is studying English and Creative Writing. She currently serves as one of the web designers for IDRIS.

Off-campus, Cass holds the position of National Chairperson for the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue, Incorporated (FIND, Inc.), a student-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that unites Filipino/a/x college students across the East Coast. In this role, she leads regional alliances and oversees projects such as the upcoming nationwide Filipino Oral History Project. During the 2022–2023 academic year, she served as Vice Chairperson of FIND, Inc.’s largest district, where she founded and organized an intercollegiate queer pageant that raised over $3,000 for various LGBTQ+ charities and foundations.

Cass is also involved in journalistic and digital media work that explores the intersection of pop culture and identity. As a Culture Writer for EnVi Media, she covers creative spotlights, small businesses, fandom life, and deep dives into underrepresented topics across the Asian diaspora. She also manages social media for MAARTE, a New York Foundation for the Arts-funded docuseries about diasporic Filipina/x creatives in the United States.
